Gauss Meter
Model M025
Measures electro magnetic
emissions from power lines, computer monitors, television sets,
video machinery and other electrical appliances. While the evidence
of the carcinogenic effect of such electromagnetic emission is still
inconclusive. The US.EPA recommends "product avoidance' to avoid
excess exposure over long periods of time. Can be used to check
compliance with the European Union's Electromagnetic Compatibility
Directive IEC 801.1(EN 50081-1), (effective 12/31/1995). as well as
sections relevant to specific types of laboratory, measurement
control equipment IEC 201 (EN60201).built in single axis probe
covers a range of 0.1 to 199.9 mGauss with an accuracy +/-4% +3
digits at 50/60Hz.
Powered by a single 9V battery which lasts approx. 200 hours.
Dimensions: 5-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 1"
Weight : 6 oz.

Model M045
Measures electro magnetic emissions from
electrical power lines and power transmission, computer, HVAC,
audio/video, and other electrical
appliances and equipment. While the evidence of the carcinogenic effect
of such electromagnetic emissions is still inconclusive, prudent
avoidance
is recommended to avoid excess exposure over long periods of time. Reads
milli-Gauss and micro-Tesla on a large 1¼" high display. The display
indicates when the object being measured is out of range as well as when
the battery is low.
Features both standard and maximum hold.Powered by a standard 9V battery
lasting approximately 100 hours. Comes with battery, instructions, and a
soft carrying case.
Dimensions: 5¼¡¨ x 2¼¡¨ x 1¼" (130 x 56 x 38 mm).
Weight: 6oz (170g). ¡@ ¡@ ¡@ ¡@

DC
Gaussmeter
This digital gaussmeter is designed to
measure magnets, solenoids,
and other strong sources of magnetic
field.
The DC Magnetometer (gaussmeter) comes
with a universal (axial/transverse) magnetic sensor and NIST - traceable
certificate.

This magnetometer measures in three
ranges, and indicates the sign (north or south). An offset control on
the gaussmeter lets you adjust the "zero" field level by ¡Ó 10 gauss. The
gaussmeter's output is monotonic to the last digit (¡Ó 0.005%), linear to
¡Ó 1 % at 20,000 gauss, and overall accuracy is ¡Ó 2 % from 30 to 110oF.
The meter comes with a NIST- traceable calibration certificate.
The DC Magnetometer has a minimum
resolution of 0.01 gauss, or about 1/50 of the Earth field on the
minimum range of 200 gauss. The maximum range is 20,000 gauss. (In
comparison, the strongest permanent magnet material has an internal flux
density or gap-magnet field of about 14,000 gauss. Measurement of the
face of a single magnet will yield about 1/2 as much, or 7000 gauss at
maximum.)
Available Options:
> DC/AC Measurement Switch (AC is
pseudo - RMS +/-3% 45 Hz - 2000 Hz. Measures 0.1 - 10,000 gauss AC)
Model Milli083
DC Milligauss Magnetometer
It has a resolution of 0.01 milligauss
(1 nanotesla) and a range of +/-2000 milligauss (200 microteslas).
The display has an extra digit compared
with most portable magnetometers. It has 4 ½ digits and it displays in
two ranges: +/- 1999.9 and +/- 199.99 milligauss. Update is three times
per second. Because the Earth's field is typically about 500 milligauss,
three ¡§offset¡¨ controls allow you to add or subtract up to 600
milligauss with precision of .01 milligauss. Therefore, the Earth's
field can be subtracted out when required. If reading in the more
sensitive 199.99 range, this field neutralization feature is often
necessary, because the field is usually stronger than 200 milligauss.
The wide dynamic range of the
display (19,999 counts; both polarities), along with the large range of
offset (+/- 600 milligauss) and high stability of the meter (+/- .01
milligauss), allow for stable detection of small changes in a large
background field. On the higher sensitivity range, changes of .01
milligauss can be reproducibly measured in up to +/- 800 milligauss of
background field. On the lower sensitivity range, absolute field of .1
milligauss can be measured in up to +/- 1999.9 milligauss of background
field.
The sensor is at the end of an
eight-wire cable that is normally four feet long, but other custom
lengths are available. The sensor is ¡§axial¡¨, which means it detects the
component of the field that's in the same direction as the cable points
(see photo). The meter reads negative when pointing toward the south
pole of a magnet and positive toward north. The small active area of the
sensor is in the center of the dark square.
At
fixed temperature, reproducibility is +/- 0.01 milligauss (1 nT) and the
temperature coefficient of the offset is less than 0.01 milligauss/¢XC.
The temperature coefficient for gain is less than .0015%/¢XC. As shipped,
gain accuracy is +/-0.5% and the meter offset is +/- 0.5 milligauss with
all offset knobs set at zero. All specifications are at temperatures 0
to 45¢XC. Size is approximately 18(high) x 9(wide) x 5(thick) cm. Weight,
including battery is 325 grams. See photo for the external sensor
dimensions.
The meter comes with a NIST-traceable
certificate of calibration, a replaceable common 9-volt alkaline battery
(life about 25 hours), and a power plug for 10 - 18 VDC operation
